Ali and Heath’s gorgeous Planter’s Club wedding in Suffolk VA was so much fun to photograph. With incredible details, lots of laughs, and a beautiful couple, we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Although their wedding was originally scheduled for May, Ali and Heath had to make some tough decisions and rescheduled for the fall. Their perspective was SO sweet – at the end of the day, they knew they were still marrying the person they were always meant to meet. And that’s all that matters.

When we arrived, we began photographing Ali and Heath’s details. Thanks to their amazing florist, I had some loose for florals to play with and they brought something a little bit extra to their detail photos. It’s one of our favorite little tricks!! Once all of their details were documented, Ali finished getting ready with her girls and prepared for her first look with Heath. Watching the two of them meet for their first look was just special. We LOVE first looks! It’s a great way to get a little extra time with your soon-to-be spouse. Heath had the sweetest reaction to seeing his bride for the first time!!!

Another benefit of a first look is being able to get some of your wedding party portraits done before the ceremony and reception. Ali and Heath had the most fun bridal party. There were so many laughs and they had no problem cheering on the (almost) newlyweds! We lucked out with a truly beautiful day for portraits and had a great time with Ali and Heath exploring Planter’s Club. There’s so many sweet spots for portraits on this property!!

With a beautiful outdoor ceremony to make everything official, Ali and Heath said “I do” along the waterfront. It was just stunning – and absolutely perfect for a Fall wedding in Suffolk! And then it was time for their reception!! Navy, gold, and ivory are such classic colors for a waterfront wedding and they work perfectly in the reception space at the Planter’s Club! Ali and Heath enjoyed the night with their family and friends, celebrating this special moment in their lives.
