I love that we offer Highlight Films to our couples. I never would have thought we would be doing film, but it is one of my FAVORITE things we get to do. Today I wanted to share the WHY and the WHAT of the details of a Highlight Film.
WHY… Truthfully, the reason we started doing films was all Hunter…Now get ready to laugh. Hunter approached me last year with this amazing sales pitch on why we should add video. How we needed a DRONE ( shocking ha ha) and we could start adding this to the business. So I made a deal with him. I told him we would start doing the films, and if we saw it was something we enjoyed, and our couples wanted we would buy the drone next year. Wellll… we have the drone and have found our couples absolutely LOVE having their films. I never thought it would be something I would love like I do. Photography has always been my passion, but seeing the photos come to life through a wedding film is just incredible to be able to relive those memories. Photos are one moment, but a film brings the photo alive and tells the whole story all over again.
WHAT… What is a Highlight Film? It is a shortened film of the whole wedding day. We film all the key moments, and create a short film like the one below. We set it to music with some audio to really bring to life every detail. We get to turn something that is just memories back into getting to relive those priceless moments all over again.

“With our video, we can see each other’s reactions and joy as well as watch our closest family and friends have a great time at our wedding. I’ve watched our video at least ten times already and every time, I find myself grinning and touched all over again. Our wedding day flew by, but with this video, as well as our pictures, we can relive it whenever we want. We couldn’t be more grateful for Ryann and Hunter capturing the best day of our lives so beautifully! I can’t wait to look back on this video years down the road and be able to hear the vows that we made to one another before God and before our family and friends. That wonderful day FLEW by and was such a blast and I am so glad that I can watch this as well as look at our photos and reminisce.

“At first the idea of doing a wedding video seemed cool but not as important as the photos. In my opinion, wedding videos seemed like this new cool thing couples were doing but they were not necessary for celebrating or remembering the day. Well, I was extremely wrong. After watching the video, I realized just how much of a gift this really was. What you don’t think about at first are your future children and grandchildren and being able to watch these photos come alive year after year. Seeing the look of joy on my wife’s face and the faces of our loved ones…that’s priceless. If you are a groom (or bride) doubting whether or not you should get a video, let me encourage you to do it. You will be able to watch this video with your wife, kids, and grandkids one day and you will never regret it.”
We are so excited for all the upcoming films we have this year, and Hunter is currently working on one from Trump Winery that we can’t wait to share soon. We are growing and learning all we can in this new adventure of video for our business, and can’t wait to see all God has for the future!
