From the wonderful Fall weather, to the breathtaking location on the James River – Summer and Kyle’s wedding was perfect . Kyle’s grandparents’, Sarah & Allyn Julien, opened their beautiful home to be an absolute DREAM venue for this special day.

We have known Kyle since we were all kids. Kyle’s mom, Donna, rode horses with my mom for many years. Mom and Donna are still very close, and we loved being able to share in the JOY of this happy day.

Summer had so many stunning details for us to capture. Classic pearls and her invitations went flawlessly with the sophisticated theme of their day. She got ready in one of the rooms that literally had windows all around – a photographer’s dream. With all the glowy, natural light, there are many favorite portraits from that room.

Kyle and his groomsmen got ready at the Smithfield Station. They made quite the grand entrance to the wedding by arriving by boat. Hunter was able to fly the drone, and capture some pretty unique shots of the fellas having the best time on the ride over!

The couple shared a “ First Look “ where they enjoyed some time together before the hustle and bustle of the day. Kyle’s jaw dropped as he turned around to see the love of his life in her irresistable wedding gown. The location we chose, a little garden adorned with a cream colored swing, just happened to be one of Summer’s favorite spots. Just lovely!

After the ceremony we finished up family formals and then ended our day with some breathtaking Bride and Groom portraits. And of course, we had to get a veil toss photo!

Hunter and I were able to spend some time with the family as “guests” while enjoying dinner, and then we headed home. It was great to only be 20 minutes away!
