Holy cow where to begin when remembering Taylor and Dan’s incredible day! I would have to say the biggest thing that made this day stick out so much to us would be the couple’s vows to each other. Their words were so touching, and completely from their heart of how much they love each other. It was like the perfect mixture of emotions from their tears and then just busting out laughing from being silly together.
Taylor said of her groom that “ He has always supported me in my dream, and encouraged me to follow them. Dan is my reminder that God answers prayers, and that His promise is true. I prayed for Dan before I even knew who he was. God certainly delivered exceedingly above what I had imagined. It’s such a privilege to love Dan and to be loved by him. “
Then a few words from Dan of his bride “ You are to me, a super hero. You have the most beautiful soul and the biggest heart I have ever seen and have been blessed to be around. You put me on the path to Christ, continue to push me, drive me and together we have not only grown as individuals, but we have been able to strengthen our relationship with God. You constantly go out of your way to help honor Mat. You are so willing to just drop everything when it comes to his memory. I truly love you more than anything in this world. When you ask me to pick what I love most about you, it’s impossible to pick one thing. You’re not just anyone- you’re my hero and the love of my life.”
I know I shared a lot of what their words were for each other, but we were ALL so touched by them. Where Dan talked about Mat, he is referring to his brother who passed away. He passed before Taylor knew him, but she has always brought honor to his memory like she knew him forever. His memory was remembered in little details throughout the whole day. It was so special.
Oh man what a power couple Taylor and Dan are! One thing these guys had to endure recently was a venue change at the last minute. They never let it rock their spirit. The two of them only cared about marrying their soulmate, and truly nothing else mattered. Even a rainbow appeared towards the end of the evening.
Truly the whole day was so unique. For favors for their guests they had The Wedding Tattooer come, and do tattoos for their guests during the reception if they wanted them done. How neat is that ?!? The couple had “ til death “ tattooed on them right after the Ceremony ended.
Taylor also arranged a HUGE surprise for her hubby. She had Slapshot, the Capitals Hockey Team Mascot come out and sneak up on Dan! He was blown away! Slapshot jumped right on taking pictures, and dancing along side guests. He even signed their Capitals Jersey they had on a table for wedding guests to sign!
It was such an amazing day all around, and our whole RWP team was so completely BLESSED to be able to capture it for them!
