I love it when I get the chance to do Bridal Portraits for our brides before their big day. It is the perfect opportunity for them to get hair/makeup done, and make sure everything is how they vision it to be on their wedding. Chalsy looked positively STUNNING in her wedding dress! I loved the cathedral veil she chose to compliment the look. When her mom, Jeanette, arrived to help with the photos she was carrying a small pink knitted little outfit in hand. She said that Chalsy wore that outfit home from the hospital when she was born. We captured a few of the little outfit for her as a memory to tie in then and now. CUE alllll the tears for sure as she watched her baby girl…now a gorgeous young woman about to become a wife.
I asked Jeanette to share a little about Chalsy. She truly is an amazing young lady that I was honored to get to work with. Here is Jeanette’s write up about her daughter.
“Chalsy was born a very small little girl weighing in at 5’2 oz she has been the family princess since birth. Her grandmother made her the little pink dress and bonnet that’s in her pictures. She had her hospital pictures taken in that outfit and was brought home in it. I knew back then how special that dress was and how special she was. Chalsy was raised amongst 5 boys so between our two families she has always been the one who has been looked after and protected the most. She has always had a passion for people when her friend was diagnosed with diabetes at a very young age she stayed by her side at Kings Daughters. Chalsy has always been a active person in her community with dance and gymnastics. She coached USAG for about 5 years mentoring other coaches and young girls. At one time she worked 2 jobs while attending college. She has a bachelors degree in Human Services from ODU and her masters in Special education from Liberty University. She loves children and is a great role model to all the Douglas girls coming up. She has always dreamed about a wedding at the beach for as long as I can remember. So being the princess that she is we made that dream come true for her. We are so proud of the young lady that she has become and can’t wait to watch her next journey. “Chalsy teaches Special Education at Joseph Saunders Elementary School in Newport News.
So excited to share this photos of her! What a beautiful bride inside and out!
